For in-person payments, funds are typically deposited into your bank account within 1-2 business days. Online payments through Stripe follow Stripe's standard settlement schedule, which is usually 2-3 business days after the transaction. You can track all pending and completed payments in your Zivly dashboard.

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. For in-person payments, we also support contactless payments like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. Online payments through Stripe support these same methods plus additional digital wallets.

Yes, you'll need one of our supported payment terminals to accept in-person card payments. We offer several options including the Stripe Reader S700, Stripe Reader S710, BBPOS WisePad 3, and BBPOS WisePOS E. Each device has different features and price points to suit your business needs. Setting up online payments is easy! Simply go to your Zivly dashboard, navigate to Settings > Payments, and click "Connect Stripe Account." You'll be redirected to Stripe to create an account or log in to your existing one. Once connected, you can immediately start accepting online payments through your Zivly booking page or website.

In-person payments (2.29% + CA$0.20) are our lowest rate because the card is physically present, which reduces fraud risk. Online payments (2.79% + CA$0.20) have a slightly higher rate due to the increased risk of card-not-present transactions. Manual card entry (3.30% + CA$0.20) has the highest rate as it carries the most risk and doesn't benefit from automated processing.

Some of our terminals support offline mode, which allows you to process payments without an active internet connection. Transactions are stored locally and automatically synced once you're back online. However, we recommend maintaining an internet connection when possible for real-time transaction processing and instant confirmation.

Absolutely. All payment processing is PCI-DSS compliant and uses end-to-end encryption. Your customers' card data is never stored on our servers or your device. For online payments, Stripe provides bank-level security with advanced fraud detection. We take payment security seriously and follow industry best practices to protect your business and your customers.

Yes! You can issue full or partial refunds directly from your Zivly dashboard. Simply find the transaction you want to refund, click "Refund," and enter the amount. The refund will be processed immediately and typically appears in your customer's account within 5-10 business days, depending on their bank. Note that transaction fees are not refunded.

If a customer disputes a charge, you'll be notified immediately via email and in your dashboard. You'll have the opportunity to provide evidence to contest the dispute. We'll guide you through the process and work with the payment processor to resolve it. While chargebacks are rare, having detailed transaction records and receipts helps protect your business.
