It's official: all four Zivly apps are now live. Zivly Customer and Zivly Business are both available on the App Store and Google Play - four apps, two platforms, one goal: making it effortless to book and run appointments at salons, spas, and barbershops across Canada.
Android has had both apps for a while. iOS is the part we're really excited about today, because getting here took a lot longer - and a lot more back-and-forth with Apple's App Review team - than we ever expected. More on that below. First, what each app actually does, and every download link in one place - you can also find them anytime on our app download page.
Zivly Customer - Book Your Next Appointment in Seconds
Zivly Customer is built for anyone booking a salon, spa, or barbershop visit. Instead of calling around or scrolling through a business's Instagram trying to find a booking link, clients get one clean app to find a provider, pick a time, and be done.
- Browse services and book appointments in a few taps
- See real-time availability instead of waiting on a callback
- Get automatic reminders so you never miss a visit
- View your full booking history in one place
- Pay and tip right from the app

Zivly Business - Run Your Salon From Your Pocket
Zivly Business is the other half of the picture - built for salon, spa, and barbershop owners and their staff. It's the same platform that powers the Zivly web dashboard, now in your pocket, so you're not stuck at a front-desk computer to manage your day.
- Manage your calendar and staff schedules on the go
- Check in clients and manage walk-ins from anywhere on the floor
- Track clients, appointment history, and notes
- Accept payments in-app, including Tap to Pay on iPhone - no extra card reader needed
- Get notified the moment a new booking comes in

The Honest Story: Why the Zivly Business App Took So Long on iOS
We're not going to pretend this launch was smooth. Getting Zivly Business approved on the App Store was, without exaggeration, one of the hardest parts of building Zivly so far - and it's worth telling the real story, because a lot of small business software founders will recognize it.
The rejection: Guideline 3.1.1 and 3.1.3(c)
Apple's App Review Board rejected our first submission under Guideline 3.1.1 (In-App Purchase) and Guideline 3.1.3(c) (Enterprise Services). Their concern: Zivly Business offers paid subscription plans, and Apple's rule is that "enterprise services" sold to organizations don't need In-App Purchase, but anything sold to an individual consumer does. Because a solo hairstylist or barber could sign up for a paid Zivly plan on their own, Apple's reviewers treated that as a consumer purchase requiring Apple's IAP system - and 30% cut - rather than our own Stripe-based billing.
We appealed, explaining that every account on Zivly Business - solo practitioner or full team - is a verified, operating business in the personal care industry (salons, spas, and barbershops), not a personal-use product. The App Review Board upheld the rejection. Apple then scheduled a call with their team to walk through the guideline in detail.
The resolution: restructuring how solo accounts work
On that call, Apple's guidance was consistent: if a single individual can purchase access on their own, without being part of a verified organization, it has to go through In-App Purchase. So we changed the product to match the rule instead of fighting it. We made the Solo plan (1 team member) free, with usage limits, and removed any purchase option for single-user accounts entirely - a solo account literally cannot buy a paid plan inside the app, or outside it. Paid plans are now only available to accounts with two or more verified team members, enforced at the account level, not just in the pricing page copy.
We confirmed that structure with Apple before resubmitting, they signed off, and the revised build cleared review. If you want the full story on why the Solo plan is free now, we wrote a separate post: Our Solo Plan Is Now Free - Forever.
Weeks of rejections, an appeal, a scheduled call, and a real product change later - Zivly Business is live on the App Store, fully functional, with Tap to Pay on iPhone and all of our payment options working exactly as intended.
If you're a salon owner who's been waiting for the iPhone app - thank you for your patience. It's here, and it was worth getting right instead of getting it out the door fast.
What This Means for You
If you run a salon, spa, or barbershop and you've been using Zivly on the web or on Android, you can now put the whole business in your pocket on iPhone too - calendar, staff, clients, and payments, including contactless Tap to Pay.
If you're a client, Zivly Customer is now the fastest way to find and book your next appointment, on whichever phone you carry.
And if you haven't tried Zivly yet - whether as a business owner or as someone looking to book - now's a great time. All four apps are live, they work together, and they're free to download.
